Museo de Albarracín

This is a ethnological museum dedicated to the transhumance world, which shows different aspects of this activity which is still carried out in the Sierra de Albarracín. The centre has different thematic halls and exhibition spaces dedicated to the daily routine of transhumant shepherds, to shepherd constructions (watering areas, corrals, pens, ways, resting places, etc.) and to the recreation of atmosphere of the shepherd paths and the resting places in winter. It has many showcases that gather the different tools and utensils used by the transhumant shepherds, as well as their clothing, the shearing, the uses of the wool, etc. The Transhumance Museum admits independent, guided or audio-guided visits. It also has a room for audiovisual presentations.

Timetables: From July to September from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. From October to June, open on weekends from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mondays closed. Prices: Adults: 2 Euros. Children: free up to 10 years old. Groups (more than 15 members): 1.50 Euros.
