Museo de Albarracín

It is considered as one the three castles of the city’s defensive system, together with the main fortress and the Tower of the Andador, to the north. It was first mentioned in the 13th century, although in recent archaeological excavations ceramic remains that suggest an earlier Islamic origin have been found. Inside it is divided into four floors, with wooden frameworks that adapt to the discontinuities of walls in height, due to the reduction of their width. The last floor grants access to a spectacular upper terrace, which is one of the city’s viewpoints.
